OCOD offers Conformation Classes for those interested in successfully competing with their dogs at AKC or UKC dog shows. These classes provide a learning experience for both the handler and their dog – all designed to highlight the dogs best attributes in both a static and dynamic format. Participants learn and practice new skills each week.
The skills the handler/dog team will learn include leash management, stacking the dog for the judge’s hands on examination, both profile as well as front and rear movement and overall ring management skills. Mastering the subtle components of these skills offers the team the better chance of winning the points required for the dog to become a “Champion”.
Please note the following:
OCOD facility rules prohibit female dogs in season from entering the building.
Dogs younger than six months of age require special invitation from the class instructor.
