Please read all Instructions below first, before completing the Application above

Prerequisite- Minimum of 6 months of age.

Learn how to teach your dog to be a well-mannered pet, who can behave in public around people and other dogs.  You will learn how to teach your dog to walk on a loose leash, sit, down, stay, leave it, come when called and go to his “place.”

Please bring your dog on a leash the first night of class. It must be made of nylon, cotton or leather. No Flexi or chain leads. The first night will include orientation.

Class start dates can be found on the Basic Manners tile on the home page. Exact start dates and times for classes that are NOT full AND are still available will be found on the scheduling page after you hit ‘submit’ during the application process.

You will be added to the roster after payment is received.  Some classes fill up quickly and/or schedules may change unexpectedly (due to storms, etc.)

The instructor will email instructions regarding class start time and what to bring (water and treats for example)

Please sign in at the desk on the first night.

You must:

  • Arrive with your dog on a  collar and leash at training class. (Nylon, cotton or leather)
  • Present up-to-date vaccination information on the first night if you did not upload it with your application
  • Clean up after your dog. (Scoops and towels are provided)
  • Bring water for your dog and yourself
  • Bring small, easy to eat treats for your dog.
  • Sign in on the sign in notebook at the front desk every night

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OUR CLASSES:
If your dog is aggressive, please email Sarah sbbroadwaybrokers@hotmail.com before submitting an application.  Most aggressive dogs do NOT do well taking a group class as the first step to become rehabilitated.  There are a number of rehab type trainers in our area who can help you in a one on one, calm and safe setting.  Many times, it is not fair to an aggressive dog to start their journey in a group of untrained handlers and dogs.  When selecting a rehab trainer, be sure to interview a few to find the right fit for you and your dog.

We do not train dogs to be service dogs.  It takes months to train a service dog.  Our classes are only seven weeks long.  If you are in need of a service dog, there are national agencies that can help find the right dog for you.
